Lemon & Ginger Detoxing Scrub

There are certain things that in absolutely obsessed with and magnesium salts are defiantly one of them. Transdermal (through the skin) is the most efficient way to get magnesium into your body. I’ve been using magnesium salts in the bath for ages, and it’s honestly one of the most relaxing things! But I don’t always have time to have a bath, so I decided to try and get them into my routine a different way….by sneaking them into my detox scrub.
This recipe literally takes 5 minutes to whip up and leaves you with hours of moisturised, refreshed skin.
- 2 tbs mg salts
- 2 tbs hot water
- 2 tbs ground ginger
- 150g coconut oil melted
- 150g Himalayan salt
- 10 drops lemon essential oil
In a bowl add the mg salts and water and gently stir until the magnesium salts dissolve.
Once fully dissolved, add the ginger, coconut oil and the essential oil and give it a stir.
Finally, add the Himalayan salt and start to stir it in. As the coconut oil becomes solid again the mixture will thicken and turn into the prefect scrub!
