Apple & cinnamon Granola

I love making this granola, mainly because of the smell it fills the house with, and secondly because i get to enjoy it every morning for the next couple of weeks. I’ve found it so hard to find a granola that isn’t filled with sugar, so i just make m own. It’ll keep for a few weeks in an air-tight jar, so i always make a big batch!


150g pecans

100g oats
50g pumpkin seeds
50g sunflower seeds
50g flaked almonds
50g raisins
2tbs chia seeds
200g Apple purée
2tbs maple syrup
2tbs melted coconut oil
2tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp ground cloves



-Preheat your oven to 160 degrees

-Place your pecans into a food processor and gently blitz for a few seconds to break them up into smaller pieces, but don’t let them completely grind up.

-In a bowl, add the pecans along with all the oats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, raisins and chia seeds. In another bowl add the apple puree, along with the maple syrup,   coconut oil and the spices and give them a mix.

-Combine the apple puree with the dry ingredients and fully combine.

-Lay the mixture out on a baking try, spread it out and pop in in the over. After 15 minutes, take it out and mix it around to ensure it cooks evenly. pop it back in the over for another 15 minutes, then give it another stir.  if the mixture is still a bit moist, leave it in the oven for a few more minutes.
